Established in 1973, Florida Humanities preserves, promotes, and shares the history, literature, culture, and personal stories that offer Floridians a better understanding of themselves, their communities, and their state. Dedicated to advancing the core mission of the National Endowment for the Humanities by providing humanities access to all Floridians and emphasizing partnership opportunities with organizations and locations with limited access to the humanities, Florida Humanities has to date awarded over $16 million toward grants and public projects. The Norman Studios is grateful to Florida Humanities for recognizing and supporting its work in the Jacksonville community and in northeast Florida and looks forward to developing and continuing this vital partnership.
